Dell extends Windows XP deadline to June 26

Based on “popular demand,” Dell has extended the Windows XP deadline to June 26th.  Previously, Dell was charging a ’surcharge’ for downgrading to Windows XP, at the encouragement of Microsoft.  Today, a Dell representative confirmed that customers can order select configurations of the Inspiron 530 or 530s desktops with Windows XP Home through June 26.

AT&T offers free WiFi to 3G customers

AT&T customers that use the wireless company’s LaptopConnect mobile broadband service can now access free AT&T HotSpot WiFi service at over 17,000 locations throughout the country. AT&T HotSpots include participating Starbucks, McDonalds, Barnes and Noble, as well as some airports.
