Fujitsu Siemens officially announce Netbook
Although there was the word on the street, it’s always reassuring to hear things from the horse’s mouth once in a while. Fujitsu Siemens has finally (officially) announced its netbook, now known as the Amilo Ui 3520. Some might think that Fujitsu Siemens are arriving unfashionable late to the netbook party, after all the canapés have gone, but the Amilo Ui 3520 does have some interesting features that could entice the chef to bring out another batch.
Sporting a 8.9in, 1,024 x 600 screen, the Amilo offers up a 1.6GHz Intel Atom CPU and 1GB of DDR2 667MHz RAM . The hard disks options are 60GB and 80GB, spinning at 3600 rpm and 4200 rpm respectively. The standard Ethernet, 802.11 b/g WiFi, Bluetooth are all on board, but the pick of the bunch is the ExpressCard slot! Other than that, we can expect to find 2 USB ports and a VGA out. The OS flavour of choice is Windows XP.
If that doesn’t get you interested, the changeable lids of varying colours should!
