New S9 Curve, L3, and O2 PMP and MP3 players from Cowon
Cowon has been around the block on a couple of occasions but have failed to make it into the hard-core mainstream. Famed for their MP3 players and PMPs, their latest assortment of offerings are both awesome to look at and functional. Say hello to the S9 Curve , L3 and O2.
Capable of playing video or audio, the touchscreen devices appear to offer a T-DMB mobile TV tuner and support for Apple lossless and True Audio codecs. The S9 will apparently use an active matrix OLED display and will rival the Touch given its 3.3in size, accelerometer and 40 hour battery life. Furthermore, it will pack a decent punch for its dimension, given the ‘dual core’ processor hidden under the hood.
The O2 has a larger 4.3in screen and therefore, the number of play back hours is limited to just 18 for music and 8 for video. Finally, the L3 has a humongous 7in LCD with 800 x 480 native resolution, and is primarily aimed at in car or even home usage.
We expect to have more info released at IFA in Berlin, and if all these specs come good, Cowon, we love you.
