New Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 with Photoshop.com for mobile phones
Adobe introduced Photoshop Elements 7 this morning. Elements 7 is an entry level photo editing software that allows users to touch up photos directly from their desktop.
The new version of the software features new ‘elements’ like Scene Cleaner allowing users to brush away unwanted subjects and Smart Brush that allows users to change lighting effects with a single stroke. In addition, Adobe is offering a one year subscription to its online Photoshop.com site, which offers users 5MB of online backup for photos as well as being able to share amongst friends and family from anywhere in the world. For a few extra dollars, users can jump up to a Plus membership that offers 20MB of storage.
Added bonus from Adobe is Adobe’s Photoshop.com Mobile beta service that lets cameraphone enthusiasts upload and share photos direct from their handhelds, similar to Yahoo’s Flickr. For more on the Mobile beta, jump on over to http://mobile.photoshop.com
Photoshop Elements will be available in September for US$99 or if paired up with Adobe’s Premier Elements 7, which includes video editing software, the cost is US$149.99.
