New SideWinder X6 keyboard and X5 mouse from Microsoft
Today at a gaming convention in Germany, Microsoft showed its SideWinder X6 keyboard and new X5 mouse. The new pairing is designed for hard core gamers and the X6 keyboard offers the “first-ever” switchable key pad.
The X6 keyboard offers a detachable number pad that can be switched to either side for user’s preference as well as being easily switched into game mode from its standard number configuration. The new device sports a cruise control feature, backlight options, and configurable macros to make gaming a breeze.
The new X5 mouse provides numerous buttons including five that are programmable and a convenient launch button for Windows Vista Game Explorer. The X5 offers six dpi settings and can record macros similar to the X6 keyboard.
Both the X5 mouse (US$60) and X6 keyboard (US$80) will be available starting next month.
