Following Lenovo’s ThinkPad refresh in line with the new Centrino 2 processor from Intel, we can now announce the successor to the ThinkPad X300, the ThinkPad X301. Landing in the USA on the 26th of August, the X301 should pack quite a punch since it reputedly offers 20% increase in performance compared to the previous model. Along with the aforementioned performance gains, we should also expect to see an improvement in battery life. This will make the starting price of $2,599 (~£1,400) seem exceptionally appealing, unless of course, the upgrade to the 128GB SDD option is an arm and a leg.
