New iPod Touch and MacBooks on the horizon

Apple logoAccording to analysts, Apple is soon to launch a new iPod Touch as well as new slimmer MacBooks. Aesthetic facelifts are not the only thing expected from the Cupertino giant, the company is also expected to lower pricing just in time for the holiday rush. Some reported pricing drops include the iPod Touch dropping to $199 from its current $299 price point and MacBooks starting as low as $999.

According to Mike Olson, an anylast at Piper Jaffray, “The new MacBooks will be slimmer, might have exteriors made of aluminum instead of plastic and could also have a newly designed keyboards.”

Apple planted the new product seed during a financial earnings call in July stating it was working on “state of the art” products that will offer “incredible value” for consumers. The new products are supposedly to debut in September.
