Sony unveils 10 megapixel DSC-T77 Cyber-shot digital camera

Today Sony announced a new digital shooter, the Cyber-shot DSC-T77. Announced as the company’s thinnest digicam, the new T77 is the successor to the T70 and features a 10 megapixel CCD sensor, a Carl Zeiss 4x zoom lens, ISO sensitivity up to 3200, and features the latest technologies - including intelligent scene recognition, Smile Shutter, image stabilization, and face detection.

The T77 sports a large and colorful 3-inch LCD touchscreen display for image viewing and also has Sony’s trademark sliding front lens cover. The T77’s ultra thin body measures 13.9mm (0.5″) in thickness, weighs 151g (5.3oz), and comes with 15MB of internal memory storage.

This new camera from Sony is expected to come in array of colors including brown, green, pink, black and silver. Sony expects the T77 to be available in late September for US$300.
