The DSC-T77 isn’t the only new camera that Sony introduced today.  Also shown for the first time is the Cyber-shot DSC-T700. The new slim T700 seems to be a cross between the company’s existing T2 and T300 models and offers a 10 megapixel sensor, 4x optical zoom lens, and serves up a large 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen display panel, similar to the T300. The screen also is capable of 921k color shades for optimal and wide angle viewing.

The T700 features the latest digital camera technologies, including intelligent scene recognition, Smile Shutter, image stabilization, and face detection thanks to Sony’s BIONZ image processor. For storage, Sony provides 4GB of internal memory that will easily handle up to 1,000 photos at full resolution.

The T700’s measures 16.4mm (0.6″) in thickness and comes in red, gold, pink, dark grey, and silver. Sony expects the T700 to be available in late September for US$400.
