NEC releases two new projectors

NEC

NEC NP61 Projector

NEC today launched two projectors aimed at the business and education markets and the need for portability that accompanies them.  Not only are they quiet, but the new NP41 and NP61 provide 2300 and 3000 lumens of brightness, respectively.  They offer 1024×768 (XGA) resolution, a contrast ratio of 1,600:1, and weigh in at 3.5 pounds.  Technically speaking, both have 15-pin RGB, RCA, and S-Video inputs, and a six-segment color wheel that improves brightness and enhances colors.

Perhaps the best feature of the new projectors, particularly in the market that they’re catering towards, is the quietness.  The projector emits just 32db of sound while running in ECO mode. Expect the projectors to cost $999 and $1,399, respectively.  The NP61 will launch in September, while the NP41 is slated for launch in October.
