Upcoming BlackBerry Kickstart 8220 reviewed
Talk about getting a KickStart! The guys over at CrackBerry.com have posted a review of the upcoming BlackBerry KickStart that we mentioned in April, and we’re excited to see it launch. According to the review, there will be two models: the 8210 and the 8220. Keeping in line with the RIM naming scheme, the 8210 will have GPS (and will be named “SeaWolf”), whereas the 8220 (KickStart) will have WiFi. No idea as to whether the SeaWolf (note: captain not included) and KickStart will be actual names at launch, however the 8210 is supposedly going to AT&T, while the 8220 is moving to T-Mobile.
Pricing should be relatively affordable, with rumors circulating that the device may retail for $49.95. One item worth noting is the actual size of the device. The first thing I noticed when looking at the pictures is how huge the device is; when closed, it is close to the length of the BlackBerry Pearl. Other features of note: it offers OS 4.6, will have a “next generation” SureType keyboard, but will not have speedy 3G data access.
