LG X110 netbook may join the army of subcompact notebooks
The subcompact notebook arena may be welcoming Korean giant LG shortly, as rumors have leaked about an X110 netbook. It is expecting to be manufactured by Taiwan’s Micro-Star International, and should ship to Asia, Europe, and North America. According to reports, instead of the traditional low-cost trend that usually accompanies netbooks, LG is interested in making the product out of high quality materials.
Initial specifications are an 8.9-inch screen, 2GB of RAM, and a 120GB hard drive. Like others, it should be based on an Intel Atom processor, while running Windows XP. Additionally, a Linux version may be available near launch. Pricing is expected to be somewhere between $625 and $790, however it could change, as the prices above are based on exchange rates with Taiwan.
