Sony Ericsson announces three new stereo music speakers - the MPS-100, MBS-200, and MBS-400
Along with Sony Ericsson’s Walkman phones that were announced this morning, the company is also offering three new stereo speakers that are designed for easy pairing with your Sony Ericsson handset.
The Sony Ericsson MPS-100 speaker is a mobile portable speaker offering the latest in audio technology at an affordable price. The new speaker builds on its predecessor, the MPS60, and allows you to share tunes direct from your handset with a quick plug-in (3.5mm support) to the mini speaker. The speaker comes in a silver/black color scheme, weighs a mere 137g (4.8oz), and measures 100mm x 55mm (3.9″ x 2.2″).
The Sony Ericsson MBS-200 Bluetooth speaker looks similar to its sister, the MBS-100, with its round features but sports a new hue throughout. The ultra portable speaker can easily be used with a Bluetooth enabled mobile phone or computer - all without the hassle of wires. When a call comes in while using the MBS-200, the music simply mutes while the call is taken. The rechargeable speaker weighs 249g (8.8oz) and serves up 5 hours of music playback or 2 days of standby.
The Sony Ericsson MBS-400 is basically the MBS-200 times two. Featuring two stereo speakers for the ultimate sound when listening to your tunes, the new MBS-400 delivers twice the audio power. Again cutting the cords, the new speaker set offers the latest Bluetooth stereo support as well as a 3.5mm in/out jack. The MBS-400 offers the same battery life as the MBS-200 and comes with a standard charger and carrying bag.
All three of the Sony Ericsson speakers are planned to be available in Q4 of this year, though pricing was not announced.
