Facebook launches new website design
Popular social website Facebook has released a new website design that boasts ease of use, while allowing the user to preview and test the new features. The company is inviting individuals to try out the features on the new design at present; access will be limited at first, and will eventually become available to all of Facebook’s 80 million users.
“Facebook’s new design makes it a lot easier for users to share information, and we encourage them to check it out,” said Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The company has been working to develop a new site design and has received constructive suggestions from 100,000 users in the past six months. The website refresh includes new tabs for easier site navigation, a more powerful ‘news feed,’ continued integration of third party applications, and new types of ’stories.’ Privacy controls continue to exist, and users can select how they want their information to be displayed.
For now, those wanting to visit the newly designed site can go here. In the coming weeks, all Facebook users will be defaulted to the new design.
