New Toshiba laptops offer Centrino 2 processors
Following in the footsteps of HP, Lenovo, and Sony, Toshiba today announced new laptops to add to the Tecra and Satellite family. The new devices will contain the new Intel Centrino 2 processors and will offer faster networking, better battery life, and better performance as a result. The Satellite Pro S300 laptop, updated with latest Core Duo processor and Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD, offers Toshiba’s fourth-generation EasyGuard technology, built-in docking capabilities and Webcam with business card reader software. The notebook will also have optional SSD/flash-memory drive configurations. Pricing begins at $1,299.
For the business users, the Tecra has been updated as well, now offering Intel’s Centrino 2 with vPro micro-architecture. The new chipset allows users to manage and secure mobile workforces using remote isolation, diagnostics and repair. The Tecra M10 begins at $1,399, and the Tecra A10 pricing is not available as of yet.
