New Samsung ‘Touch Of Colour’ Notebooks out tomorrow
Every notebook manufacturer and his dog are aligning themselves for a grand unveiling of a new notebook range. Why? Probably because Intel is only a hair away from announcing its new Centrino 2 processor platform, sometime tomorrow perhaps. As our very own Aaron previously mentioned, Samsung is no exception, and the ‘Touch of Color’ range is looking good for its (as of yet, unannounced) money.
There will be five varieties of notebook in this line-up, including a 12.1-inch, a 13.3-inch, two types of 15.4-inch and a 17-inch model. Despite what you may have already heard, none of the details are confirmed yet. It is likely, however, that all 5 will use Intel’s new Centrino 2 processor and each will be based on the new “Intel platform” (whatever that is). We expect all systems to offer HDMI and a built in webcam, but also nVidia’s GeForce 9000-series graphics cards and maybe Intel’s own integrated graphics range as well. Some manufactures, such as Voodoo, seem particularly excited about this, so maybe we should be too! The new systems will probably use DDR3 memory and have aspect ratios of 16:9. Check back tomorrow for a full feature update.
See you then.
