Wal-Mart document shows 40GB PS3 to be ‘replaced in August’

After all of the hype surrounding the Playstation 3 launch ten months ago, Wal-Mart is adding to the excitement yet again. A leaked document obtained by Engadget shows the 40GB Playstation 3 being “replaced by [a] new model in early August.” As pointed out, the revision may simply be a special edition console, or may include a shiny new controller. Regardless, when September comes around, it will be exciting to see what the 40GB model is “replaced” with.
