Newsbrief: iPhone news roundup - July 9
Stay tuned to DigitalBurn throughout the week for the latest in iPhone 3G news. On Friday, we will have an official unboxing of the device (inventory willing), as well as “stories on the trail” - detailed coverage of the traffic at the various store locations.

Rogers modifies iPhone pricing at the last minute
Many were dissatisfied about Rogers iPhone data plans, including (what appeared to be) Apple. The latest plan offers 6GB of data for $30/month. O2’s website crashes because of iPhone internet traffic
It appears as if O2’s website crashed on Monday, after pre-order traffic created a jam that their servers couldn’t handle (13,000 phones per second during peak times). As a result, they’re encouraging people to arrive as early as possible on Friday. From O2 directly: “We will have significant supplies in store on the 11th but we expect demand to be very high so recommend people get in line early to be in with a chance of getting one. We will allocate stock on a first come, first served basis.” [Link]
