The PlayStation blog has informed us that you can now update to the 2.41 version of the PS3 firmware, if you dare! As you may well be aware, the previous version of the firmware, 2.40, pretty much bricked a whole load of PS3s without cause, reason, or concern. Like a mad man on a killing spree. As expected, Sony have not put in any more features into this update, despite owing us a lot for its mess up first time around. To recap, the main features include a trophy system to show how well you’re doing at your games to your friends, and also the ability to control music while in-game. The question is: can you obtain these features without destroying your PS3? Only time will tell!
