New ‘Enhanced’ Kuros TVs are also Pioneer’s first LCDs
Following on from our Pioneer Blu-Ray post, the plasma giants have decided to venture into previously uncharted territory. Although it was no secret, Pioneer are launching a new line-up of LCD Kuro TVs. We can now offer you more details on the said launch: these sets be the first LCDs Pioneer have created that will feature the full 1080p as a native resolution, 100Hz processing and the high-contrast filtering that has made the Kuro such a hit in the Plasma market. Let us not forget the automatic backlight adjustment and three HDMI ports that we expect as standard on any Kuro set.
There will be three flavours to choose from, including the 32in ‘KRL-32V’, 37in ‘KRL-37V’ and 46in ‘KRL-46V’. All sets offer wide viewing angles of 176 degrees and maintain the minimalistic design Pioneer achieved with its Plasma range by offering the buttons across the top and a bottom mounted speaker. If you are more interested in the vitals such as contrast ratios, response times and pricing then don’t hold your breath. We won’t find out until August when these sets launch.
