New Samsung ‘Sleek’ will hit UK in July
Samsung is still outselling RIM BlackBerry and Apple iPhone, combined*, mainly thanks to their dominance of the mid-low markets. Their success in this area, no doubt, is due to the fact that they still offer the lower-end, affordable style. Enter the Samsung ‘Sleek’ fashion phone. Based on the Samsung Soul (and previously announced as the Soulb), this candy-bar style phone is clean and minimalistic in design.
Samsung clearly know what to fit inside their phones, made evident by a 3-megapixel camera including LED flash and 1GB of internal storage to store those pictures. If you prefer to fill up your space some other way, you can download files to the phone via the 3.2Mbps HSDPA connection using the HTML browser native to the phone. If music is your sugar, then you’ll be happy to hear that the FM tuner and your MP3s can be enjoyed through your own headphones connected through a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack. Rock on.
This phone will be available in the UK in July, and will no doubt roll out elsewhere later in the year. As is normal with Samsung, we will expect to see this phone exclusive with one carrier for a short time period before witnessing its roll out to many in the months to come afterwards.

* RIM Sales need an increase of 600% to catch Samsung, and RIM outsell iPhone, a lot.
