Sony offers two new media center PC’s, complete with odd designs
At first glance, the newly launched Sony VGX-TP1 media center PC’s look interesting, to say the least. With a circular design, the computer is (presumably) intended to complement your living area. With a generous set of features, the computer would make a perfect addition to a media-centric family.
The base model, which retails for ¥150,000 ($1,392) and is white in color, offers a 2.1GHz Core 2 Duo T8100 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, GeForce 8400M GT graphics card, integrated WiFi, a dual-layer DVD writer and HDMI / VGA outputs. For a bit more, a black model is available, and offers a 500GB hard drive and a Blu-ray burner. The black model costs ¥200,000 ($1,856). Both computers also offer four USB 2.0 ports, 4-pin FireWire, wireless keyboard, a multicard reader, and a TV tuner.
