Ricoh unveils GX200 12-megapixel digital camera
Today in Japan, Ricoh announced the release of the GX200, a 12-megapixel digital shooter. The GX200 is the successor to the GX100 and inherits some of its features, including a 24-72mm wide angle optical zoom lens, 25mm thin body, manual functionality, and a removable tilting view finder.
The GX200 ups the ante by adding a 12-megapixel sensor, a 2.7-inch HVGA LCD display, 5fps continuous RAW mode shooting, and Ricoh’s Smooth Imaging Engine II, which offers better noise reduction. The Ricoh GX200 model comes in two flavors: one that contains a rechargeable Li-ion battery and charger, AV and USB cable, camera strap, lens cap, and CD-ROM. The GX200 VF kit offers the same plus the addition of the electronic viewfinder.
The Ricoh GX200 will be available for BP349 and BP399, respectively.
