Exclusive: Goldstriker 24 carat gold 3G iPhone
This morning, we received a picture from customization company Goldstriker International regarding their latest customization: a 24 carat gold 3G iPhone. The design is expected to launch in mid-July, and will start from £399 for the 8gb gold edition and rise to £999 for the 24ct gold & diamond edition. According to the release, the Apple Logo will house 53 cut bright white diamonds totaling 0,36 carat in weight. Initially, the device will retain the Apple plastic backing, however Goldstrikers chief designer Stuart Hughes is working to have a metal back available shortly.
It certainly looks nice, however we hope that the metal back idea doesn’t interfere with the GPS and reception in the device.
