Netflix ending ability for multi-user queues

NetflixNetflix is officially ending the ability for multi-user queues on accounts.  The company will be ending its ‘Profile Queue’ feature as of September 1st and will merge all the queues into one, preventing users from individualizing based upon individual wants. According to the company, the move is intended to “improve the Netflix website.”

Additionally, the company says it will e-mail users to let them know of the coming changes, and will give them the ability to merge the queues into one to prevent movies from arriving late and queues to be completely lost.  The move has drawn controversy from users, who claim that Netflix is pushing users to higher subscriptions, however the company has not commented in regards to the claim.
