Sony launches HVL-F58AM flash unit for DSLRs

Sony has announced a new flagship flash unit that offers flexible and innovative lighting control, HVL-F58AM. This new flash features the Quick Shift Bounce system, which allows the unit to pivot 90 degrees left or right horizontally as well as vertically.

Other features of note on the HVL-F58AM flash include a faster recharge - in little as 5 seconds, which is 55% faster than its predecessor, the HVL-56AM. The new HVL-58AM also features a large LCD screen, wireless auto flash control, and an advanced white balance system.

The Sony HVL-F58AM flash will be available starting in September for approximately US$500.
