New Verizon bundle discounts for customers without landlines
Verizon is about to reward non-landline users like myself who decided long ago to cut the cord from local telephone companies. Currently, Verizon only offers bundled service discounts for customers that have landlines.
According to the Associated Press, Verizon will start offering a Flex Double Play bundle that offers discounts for Verizon’s customers that purchas wireless, internet, and FiOS TV service. The discounts are expected to range from $8-$21 a month and are expected to start being offered sometime this week.
The discount will apply to Verizon’s DSL service, at 3mbps, and to its fiber optic FiOS broadband up to 20mbps. Adding in FiOS TV to the mix along with wireless and broadband services will earn consumers an even larger discount.
Unfortunately for those that use faster DSL, at 7mbps, or FiOS at 50mbps are not eligible. Verizon’s satellite TV service also will not qualify for the discount.
