New Samsung i900 Omnia smartphone launched
Trying to beat Apple to the punch, Korea’s Samsung introduced a new Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone this morning. The 3G capable cell phone is intended only for Asian and European markets at this time, supporting HSDPA 2100MHz connectivity and WiFi.
The phone also features a large 3.2 WQVGA touchscreen, stereo Bluetooth, built-in GPS with geotagging, and a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and image stabilization. The camera also offers face and smile detection.
The new Samung i900 Omnia is expected to be available later this month in Asia and in July for Europe.
