New Lenovo Centrino 2 ThinkPad laptops surface - including 12-inch X200
Evidence is showing that Lenovo will soon offer faster performing notebooks to its line-up, including a small but powerful X200 12-inch 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo using the Centrino 2 chip with vPro from Intel. The widescreen X200 is set to feature up to 64GB SSD, DDR3 RAM, 3G data, GPS, WiMAX, WiFi, UWB, and Bluetooth. The 2.9lb X200 has a 1.3 megapixel webcam onboard, three USB ports, and offers up to 9.6 hours of usage from the optional nine-cell battery pack.
Lenovo is also set to update its ThinkPad SL, R, and T series notebooks. More on that after the jump.

The new SL lineup will ship in 13.3-inch (SL300), 14.1-inch (SL400), and 15.4-inch (SL500) models with WXGA display screens and Core 2 Duo processors. Other features include Intel GMA 4500MHD or NVIDIA GeForce 9300 graphics cards, a FireWire port, an ExpressCard slot, three USB ports, an optional Blu-ray or DVD drive, mobile broadband, WiMax, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth.
Lenovo’s ThinkPad T and R series will both come with 14 and 15-inch models respectively. The T Series systems will be faster and thinner than the R series with the Intel Centrino 2 chipset up to 2.8GHz, 512MB ATI Mobility FireGL V5700 graphics, DDR3 RAM, optional 64GB SSD, 3G, WiMax, WiFi, and Bluetooth.
The R series uses Montevina Penryn Core 2 Duo processing, integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD or ATI Mobility Radeon 3470 graphics, up to 320GB HDD, up to 4GB DDR3 RAM, three USB ports, FireWire port, and ExpressCard slot.
