The much rumored Eee PC 901 and 1000 have finally come to fruition, with the press release launched moments ago. ASUS has sold 1 million Eee PC sets since the initial launch six months ago, and the brand keeps them coming.

The Eee PC 901 will offer an 8.9-inch screen, an Intel Atom processor, and will offer the choice between Windows XP and Linux for an operating system. The Windows XP machine will sport a 12GB SSD and the Linux version will ship with a 20GB SSD. According to release information, the 901 will offer approximately 7.5 hours of battery life.

The Eee PC 1000 offers a 10-inch screen, Intel Atom processor, Xandros Linux, and a 40GB SSD, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 2GB RAM. It offers up to 7.8 hours of battery life.

The Eee PC 1000(H) will also be launched, offering a 10-inch screen and an 80GB hard drive - an ASUS first. It will support 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 2GB RAM, and will also offer up to 7.8 hours of battery life.

According to ASUS, the systems will be available in sakura, sweet pea, urban metropolis, white peony, pearl white, and fine ebony. While we’re not quite sure what these colors will translate into (besides the obvious ones), we will keep you updated.
