Best Buy to recycle old electronics for free

recycleNeed to get rid of your old computer monitor that has been sitting in your garage since you got the new 24″ wonder? Head on over to Best Buy to purge you and your home old electronics and feel good about helping the environment.

Best Buy’s new recycling program is available now in 117 stores nationwide, including San Francisco and Baltimore, and will accept no more than two items per day per household for free. Call your local store beforehand to make sure they are offering the recycle service.

Items accepted are:

  • Televisions and computer monitors less than 32″ in size
  • Computers/laptops
  • Phones
  • Cameras

Items not accepted are:

  • Televisions or monitor screens greater than 32” - including consoles
  • Air conditioners
  • Microwaves
  • Appliances
