Asus Eee Box mini desktop computer announced

Asus has finally released the full specs of its super small desktop, the Eee Box. The new Intel Atom spec’d Eee Box measures in at 1-inch thick (8.5″x 7″x1″) and is meant to sit upright on its included stand. The Eee Box will come in three flavors for the States:

1GB RAM, 80GB hard drive, Linux OS for US$269
2GB RAM, 160GB hard drive, Linux OS for US$299
1GB RAM, 80GB hard drive, Windows XP OS for US$299

Other features include an Intel Atom N270 1.6 GHz processor, two USB slots, one LAN port, 802.11n WiFi, an Intel GMA 950 graphics chip, and multi-format media card support.

The new Asus Eee Box is expected to be available in mid-July.
