Apple planning to go green with solar powered iPods and laptops
It is being reported that a patent has been filed by Apple that shows solar power as a power source for iPods, iPhones, and notebook computerss. In the patent, Apple suggests using solar panels located behind the LCD screen of the mobile device, which would absorb ambient light for its power source.
Typically, solar panels require a large footprint in which the solar panels are much larger than the actual device being powered. Could Apple be on to something bigger?
