Is there an ASUS Eee tablet PC in the works?

According to Australia’s Current, Asus may be preparing for a tablet version of the Eee PC. Asus Regional Retail Manager Emmanuele Silanesu hinted that the company was interested in making a device other than “a clamshell” for potential launch at the Computex show on June 3rd.

While the specifications haven’t been released as of yet, Asus is known for its computers with relatively low power processors, flash memory, and Linux as the OS of choice. The company has also expressed interest in producing desktops and TV’s.
