Alltel to be sold in Best Buy stores
Alltel Wireless announced today that it has formed a partnership with Best Buy to sell its service. The regional carrier’s service will only be sold in Best Buy’s that are within its footprint - 40 stores, to be exact.
“We’re really excited to be in Best Buys,” said Lucie Pathmann, director of marketing communications for Alltel Wireless. “We think it will improve our customers retail experience having not only Alltel owned-and-operated retail stores, but also Best Buys in their local communities.”
Beginning May 25th, customers can purchase wireless equipment in the store, change calling plans, and activate internet service. Initially, the LG Glimmer, the BlackBerry Curve, the LG Scoop, the Motorola RAZR V3a, the Motorola ROKR Z6m and the Alltel Hue will be available in the retail stores, with more to come.
