Eye-Fi unveils three new Wi-Fi wireless SD memory cards

eyefiEye-Fi, a maker of wireless SD cards, extended its wireless card portfolio today. The company added three new products to make photographers’ lives a bit easier while on the go.

“We understand that each photographer has his or her own way of sharing memories,” said Jeff Holove, chief executive officer of Eye-Fi. “Some users are thrilled to easily upload photos from camera to computer, while others want a much richer photo sharing experience, even when away from home. By offering three different Eye-Fi Cards and new features, our goal is to give consumers exactly what delights them.”

The new Eye-Fi wireless SD memory cards come in three different flavors, including:

  • Eye-Fi Explore - US$129, most bang for your buck including automatic WiFi network locator, geo-tagging using Skyhook’s WiFi positioning system, and using WayPort hotspots can upload photos nationwide.
  • Eye-Fi Share - US$99, based on the original Eye-Fi, users can automatically upload photos via a wireless network and photo share with sites like Flickr and Facebook
  • Eye-Fi Home - US$79, offers the bare bones minimum with uploads direct to PCs via a home Wi-Fi network

Eye-Fi’s three new wireless SD memory cards are to become available on June 6.
