Barnes and Noble Launches digital magazine subscriptions
Barnes and Noble, one of the largest booksellers, has announced partnership with Zinio to offer digital magazine subscriptions.
“Our magazine offering gives our customers the ultimate flexibility to consume their favorite magazines both digitally and/or in the more traditional print form via a subscription,” said Marie Toulantis, chief executive officer of Barnes & Noble.com.
BN.com will sell digital magazine subscriptions, offering up to 90% off newsstand pricing. After purchase of a digital subscription, users will be able to view magazines within minutes from their mobile device, laptop, or desktop. The new service will offer over 1,000 magazines that include Business Week, Cosmo, PC World, PC Mag, Macworld, Entertainment Weekly, Men’s Health, Car and Driver, Computer Shopper, Elle, Popular Mechanics. The new service will also offer over 12,000 back issues for purchase.
Zinio Reader software requires Mac OS X 10.3 or newer or Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista.
