iPhone “out of stock” for US, UK customers

Earlier this week, UK iPhone network providers O2 have announced that the iPhone is “no longer available”. This news comes shortly after their retail partner Carphone Warehouse announced that they were out of stock of the devices.

Since then, O2 have replenished their stock of 16GB iPhones, but the 8GB version remains “out of stock”, and has been said to be discontinued.

Carphone Warehouse remain without any stock of either device. Additionally, as of this afternoon, Apple’s US and UK stores are both out of stock of the device.

Perhaps this is further evidence that the new 3rd generation iPhone is soon to be released…
