Showing up in our e-mail inbox this morning, Dell’s new laptops in the budget-minded business line begin at $749 and $599 for the Vostro 1310 and 1510, respectively. The first ultraportable in the Vostro line, the 1310 includes a 13.3-inch LCD display and weighs in at a respectable 4.6lbs, whereas the 1510 weighs 5.7lbs with its 15.4-inch screen. Both computers can ship with Windows XP or Vista, and in another first for the Vostro line, there is an option for a fingerprint reader.

Both of the above models can be ordered beginning today, with a 17-inch model (1710) coming in mid-May.
