CompUSA to return in Florida
Just when we thought CompUSA’s era had come to a close, Florida residents will begin to see the beloved name again-albeit under different management. Tiger Direct, the online retailer who purchased rights to the name when CompUSA went under, plans to open 15 stores under a “Grand Re-Opening” campaign. No word quite yet on the official launch or whether the campaign will be extended to the other 49 states, but for those Floridians who miss the retailer (or company name, at least), you’ll be able to get your fix soon.
